The management of Sunview Hotel in Akure has denied reports that a guest went missing from its premises.

The hotel said checks on security records and surveillance footage showed that no kidnapping or criminal activity happened within the facility.

The management explained that the guest checked in for a workshop but left early for an official assignment, leaving his belongings behind.

They said the event organizers informed hotel staff to remove the luggage from the room to avoid extra charges, which caused the misunderstanding.

The hotel also disclosed that it is working with the guest’s family and relevant authorities to verify the facts and resolve the issue.
