APC Postpones Reps primary elections
The All Progressives Congress has postponed its House of Representatives primary election for the 2027 general elections.
A statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, says the primary earlier scheduled for today will now hold on Saturday, May 16, 2026.
The party adds that dates earlier announced for other primary elections remain unchanged.
In the revised timetable, the Senate primary will hold on May 18, while the State House of Assembly primary is fixed for May 20.
The governorship primary will hold on May 21, while the presidential primary is scheduled for May 23, 2026.
The APC did not give reasons for the postponement of the House of Representatives primary election.
