Early morning earthquake kills two tourists
A strong earthquake in the Aegean sea has killed at least two people on the Greek island of Kos.
Officials of the United States geological survey say the 6.7-magnitude quake hit 12 kilometres north-east of Kos, near the Turkish coast. At least one hundred others were also injured at the popular tourist destination. Of those injured, two or three are in a serious condition and undergoing surgery, regional officials said. Tourist Tom Perry-Fox was on the second floor of his Kos hotel when the quake struck.
