Council Poll:Voting Underway In Osun

Local government election is underway in Osun state.

The election which began as early as 8 o’clock in the morning witnessed early arrival of voting materials.

Correspondent Tolulope Faleye who is monitoring the exercise reports that there is massive turnout of voters at most of the polling units visited.

The areas visited include Ayetoro ward8,Oba ile ward 9 in Olorunda local government , unit 2,ikoti ward 9 in Ilesha west local govt areas among others.

Security operatives were also sighted in all of the units keeping close watch on the exercise and ensuring peaceful election.

Human and vehicular movement restrictions order announced was also adhered to as no commercial activity was observed.

The deputy speaker of the osun state house of assembly Akintunde Adegboye after casting his vote at his Eketa ward 13,commended the conduct of the exercise so far.

Also speaking,presiding officer, oparinde Michael said,the election will be hitch free as the process started as scheduled
