Lawmaker Dumps PDP For APC in Ondo
Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu on Monday advised members of the APC in the state house of Assembly to maintain the peace being enjoyed in the house.
Akeredolu gave the charge today while receiving the lawmaker representing Akure North Hon. Olamide George from the PDP into the ruling APC.
The governor lauded the decision of the lawmaker to join the progressives and expressed hope that the remaining members would also follow suit.
However, he noted that anyone who intends to contest on the platform of the party and didn’t decamp soon will not be given waiver during the party Congress.
Akeredolu stressed the need for all members to work together for the progress of the party and the development of the state.
The defecting lawmaker, Olamide George said his decision to dump the PDP for the APC was largely due to the achievements of the Akeredolu led administration within a year.
With the defection of Olamide, the APC now has 19 out of the 26 members constituting the legislative house.
