PBAT Mandate Elders Urges Aiyedatiwa to Reconcile with Tunji-Ojo, APC Stakeholders
The PBAT Mandate Elders Forum in Ondo State has urged Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to initiate a genuine reconciliation with the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and other stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state.
Chairman of the forum, Demola Ijabiyi made the call at a press conference in Akure, saying an inclusive reconciliation would help restore unity within the party ahead of the forthcoming elections.
Ijabiyi said President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates in Ondo State need the support of all party members and stakeholders to secure victory at the polls.
He described the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, as an asset to President Tinubu and the APC.
Ijabiyi also condemned an article allegedly written by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Public Communications, saying it portrayed some APC stakeholders and members of the Elders Forum in a bad light.
He maintained that while political communication was necessary, it should not be used as a licence for vulgarity or personal attacks.
Ijabiyi called on Nigerians and APC members to support President Tinubu’s re-election, stressing that unity among party stakeholders would be critical to achieving victory in the general elections.
