Osun Police Arrest Criminal Gang Using Lounge as Hideout in Moro

The Osun State Police Command says it has arrested a gang of suspected criminals who allegedly used a lounge in Moro, Ife North Local Government Area, as a hideout to plan their operations.

Five vehicles, ten motorcycles, two pump-action guns, two locally made pistols, a single barrel gun, and fifteen live cartridges were recovered from the suspects.

The police also arrested an armed thug in Osogbo with some exhibits.

The State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Gotan told newsmen that the suspects are already assisting in investigations.

He however expressed concern that the ongoing strike by the Osun State Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria is slowing down the administration of justice in the state.

Commissioner Gotan reaffirmed the command’s commitment to community-based policing and called for greater cooperation from residents to make Osun safer.
