Police Nab 7 Suspected Armed Robbers In Ondo

The Ondo State Police Command On Tuesday paraded seven suspected armed robbers terrorising the people of the state.

Two of the suspects Innocent Ikechukwu and Victor Ologun were arrested for allegedly robbing a gas plant in Akure of five hundred thousand Naira and a mikano generator valued at 2. 5 million Naira.

The state Commissioner of Police Gbenga Adeyanju while speaking with journalists said the arrest was as a result of the command’s keen effort at ridding the state of crime and criminal elements.

He said two other suspected robbers terrorising the people of Ijapo area of Akure, Sunday Joseph and Ayodeji Bamidele were arrested following a report by a victim.

According to him, the command would not rest on its oars in ensuring a crime free society.

Three other suspected were paraded for phone and car theft.

The Police boss assured that the suspects would be duly charged to court.
