Jacob Blake: Trump visits Kenosha to back police after shooting

US president Donald Trump has visited Kenosha, Wisconsin, to back law enforcement after the police shooting of a black man sparked civil strife.

He blamed domestic terror for the destruction in the Midwestern city.

Kenosha saw days of violence after police shot Jacob Blake in the back and left him paralysed on August the 23rd.

Democratic’s Joe Biden has accused Mr Trump of stoking racial division, an allegation Trump has described as baseless.

The president visited areas damaged in the protests, including a burnt-out furniture store destroyed in the upheaval.

meanwhile, Supporters of US president, Donald Trump have been speaking on their perceptions of some moves by the incumbent, ahead of presidential polls in November.

Republican political strategist, Ron Christie, says president Trump would try to appeal to the people who have been worried by recent unrests.

Earlier at the republican convention, President Trump himself had accused democrats of encouraging election violence.

His wife, Melania Trump had appealed for calm, amidst the ongoing protests in the months ahead of the election

President Trump also defended his handling of the pandemic, taking the opportunity to throw shades at his opponent

He promised a comeback for the American people.
