Joko declared Indonesia president
Joko Widodo has re-emerged as Indonesia’s president after last month’s vote.
Widodo defeated former general Prabowo Subianto in the election.
Reports says the result was released a day ahead of schedule in the early hours of today amid fears of unrest.
About 32,000 security personnel were deployed across the capital Jakarta.
However, Mr Prabowo rejected the result, to seek legal redress in a competent court of law.
