Gov. Akeredolu in court over deduction of health assistants salaries
The national industrial court of Nigeria, Akure division has failed to strike out a case challenging the demotion and deduction of the salaries of health assistants in Ondo state.
Health assistants across the 18 local government areas of Ondo state had dragged governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to the national industrial court over their salary.
Ondo state attorney general and the state local government service commission were joined in the matter.
In her ruling, Justice Oyewumi, held that the case was properly filed by the petitioners and that she will hear the matter.
Counsel to the petitioner, Tolu Babaleye said the state government was trying to stop the court hearing the merit of the matter.
The case has been adjourned to July the 1st and 2nd for the commencement of hearing.
