NFF describes local government football council elections in Ondo state illegal, orders fresh poll

The Nigeria’s Football Federation (NFF) has rejected the results of election conducted into the local football councils of the Ondo State Football Association.

In a letter dated May 8 2019, signed by Onoja Joshua on behalf of the general secretary faulted the inclusion of the police as delegates for the elections conducted into the various local football councils contrary to an agreement communicated to the Ondo FA that the police will not form part of the delegates for elections into the various local football councils and the state football associations executive board.

NFF however, directed a fresh election into the local football councils.
