Wildlife fast loosing its glory – Kenyan Minister

Kenya’s tourism minister Najib Balala says a park known worldwide for its flamingos and other wildlife is fast loosing its glory, as its lake becomes polluted with raw sewerage.

He said the number of the tall and pink wading birds, and wild animals like lions were falling at lake Nakura National Park located North West of the capital Nairobi.

The minister said the government would allocate 2.2 million pounds to build an artificial waterfall to boost tourism, urging Nakura county government to prevent the flow of sewage into the lake.
