Education minister tasks stakeholders on proactive measures against social vices
The minister of state for education, Professor Anthony Anwuka has urged heads of tertiary institutions to end drug abuse and cultism.
The statement follows the death of three students of federal university of technology Oweri, Imo state.
Anwuka said the heads of institutions of higher learning must work hard to ensure that drug abuse, cultism and all forms of indiscipline were curbed in tertiary institutions.
He added that the alleged abuse of drugs by the affected students was not a good one for FUTO, considering its long standing record of academic excellence.
The minister urged parents and guardians to dissuade their children from engaging in any illicit act that we destroy their destinies.
