Joeboy Reveals Why He Now Fancies Early Marriage

Nigerian music star, Joseph Akinwale Akinfenwa-Donus, popularly known as Joeboy, has revealed that he would prefer to get married early and have teenage children by the time he turns 40.

The 29-year-old singer made the disclosure during an interview with British media personality, Madame Joyce, where he shared his thoughts on marriage and family life.

Joeboy said his perspective on early marriage was influenced partly by comments from Nollywood actor, Timini Egbuson, who previously expressed regret about not getting married early despite being known as a “ladies’ man.”

According to Joeboy, if someone finds a person they genuinely love and the relationship feels right, getting married early can be a beautiful experience.

He said, “Being 40 and having a 16-year-old kid is cute,” adding that marriage should not be based on societal pressure or what seems fashionable, but on genuine love and readiness.

The singer, however, disclosed that if he gets married now, he would prefer to keep it away from the public eye.

Joeboy joked that fans might only discover he is married after he already has three or more children.
He said, “Maybe when I have like three kids, people will now find out that Joeboy has a whole family somewhere.”
