Akeredolu insists to invest heavily on Amotekun

Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu is insisting that the state would continue to invest heavily on security of the people.

Akeredolu noted that the motive led to the formation of the South West Security Network code named Amotekun Corps.

The governor stated this at passing-out-parade of course 3 & 4 of Amotekun Corps in Akure.

Akeredolu emphasized that officers of the Amotekun Corps would be equipped with sophisticated weapons for effective service delivery.

Amotekun commander in Ondo State, Adetunji Adeleye said the officers have been trained in many areas including intelligence gathering and tactical skills.

Over seven hundred new Amotekun officers were paraded to complement the efforts of the existing ones.
