Labour party members join APC in Ekiti

Labour party in Ekiti state has collapsed its structure into the All Progressives’ Congress.

The party led by it’s state chairman, Banji Omotosho joined the APC with all its 16 local government chairmen and executives of the party.

Omotosho while speaking at the forum said the decision to collapse the Labour Party into the APC was for the candidate of the APC Biodun Oyebanji to have smooth ride into victory come June the 18th governorship poll in the state.

Former chairman of the party, high chief Jide Awe, who received members of the Labour Party into the APC said they would be giving equal treatment as old members, while calling on them to work assiduously for the victory of the APC candidate in the June 18, governorship election.

Jide Awe said the APC is getting stronger by the day, adding that the continuous support of the people for APC was an assurance of victory.

At the ceremony in Ado-Ekiti, the party members present tore their Labour Party membership card and received brooms, the symbol of the APC.
