Again, sit-at-home grounds commercial activities in Anambra

The sit-at-home order by the Indigenous People of Biafra has once again paralysed activities in some parts of Anambra as banks, schools, markets, motor parks, and fuel stations were shut.

Several roads across major cities such as Onitsha, Nnewi, Oba, Obosi, Ekwulobia and some parts of Awka were empty as vehicles deserted the roads.

Also, it was gathered that gunmen late on Sunday killed an unidentified policeman at Ogidi, Idemili north local government area of the state and dispossessed him of his rifle.

Meanwhile, the police command in Anambra has also confirmed an attack on the state-owned Anambra broadcasting service early this morning.

The command’s public relations officer in Anambra, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga made the confirmation and also informed that no life was lost in the incident.
