INEC expresses confidence of free, fair Election in Ekiti
The Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ekiti State has expressed Confidence that the conduct of the June 18 Governorship election in the State will be free, fair and transparent.
INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Dr. Adeniran Tella made the disclosure during the interactive session with Community leaders and stakeholders ahead of the next month gubernatorial poll in the state.
The INEC REC who noted that the meeting was clearly an indication of
the determination of the Commission to conduct a free, fair, credible and acceptable election, added that the input of the elders and leaders in the Communities would help the commission achieve success in the conduct of the exercise.
On her part, INEC Deputy Director of voter education from the National headquarters of the commission in Abuja, Mary Nkem told newsmen in an interview that the Commission in its effort to meet the International best practices has constantly demonstrated its develop and sustain structures that support it’s deepening of democratic practices.
The interactive session and Stakeholders forum which is expected to educate voters on the next month gubernatorial election in the state had community leaders, religion leaders, public affairs analysts and others in attendance.
