Explosion rocks Uganda’s main business base

Two central business districts at Uganda’s capital, Kampala has being attacked after an explosion went off at a shopping mall near the central police station and the country’s parliament.

Several people are reportedly lying on the streets near the entrance of central police station and Kampala’s high court.

The cause of the blasts and cases of any casualties have not being reported.

But, the police and army personnel has restrained people from going to the streets where the blast site happened  while  several ambulances have being deployed.

Last month, two separate explosions in the country killed a waitress at a bar and a suicide bomber who had smuggled the explosives onto a bus.

Authorities in the country have blamed the October blasts on the Ugandan Islamist militant group who are based in neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo.
