Normalcy Returns to Igbara-Oke After Political Violent Protest

Normalcy is gradually returning to Igbaraoke in Ifedore local area of Ondo state after a political protest turned violent.

The protest was in the aftermath of councellorship bye-election held at ward one in community.

Governor Rotimi Akeredolu had on Thursday imposed a 24-hour curfew for peace to reign in the area.

A visit by Adaba FM to the community revealed that the town complied with the directive as commercial activities was at the lowest heb.

The Onigemo of Igbaraoke high chief Sunday Ayegbo said that Olowa of Igbaraoke Oba Adefarakanmi Agbede has instructed his chiefs to pacify the aggrieved youths.

Men of the Nigerian army were at the Olowa”s palace gate as at press time.
