Ekiti police nab 4 suspected kidnappers

Police in Ekiti State have arrested four suspects who kidnapped a petroleum dealer, Alhaji Suleiman Akinbami on January the 10th 2021 in the State.

The suspects, according to the state Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Sunday Abutu were arrested by the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Unit of the command based on a thorough investigation as a suspect, Ogunremi Shesan in Ado-Ekiti and Ige Adu in Ikere-Ekiti in connection with the Petroleum dealer’s abduction and other offences in the state.

Abutu noted that the suspects will soon be charged to court once investigations are concluded on the matter.

Some of the suspects who spoke to newsmen in an interview confessed to the crime.

The Police in the State have been recording some breakthrough in war against kidnapping and other related offences in the state, as a kidnap kingpin was shot dead in a gun duel recently in the state.
