Protest rocks Osun over insecurity

The Coalition of Civil Society Organizations in Osun state took to the streets of Osogbo the Osun state capital to protest against insecurity and its attendant economic effects on the masses

The group kick-started the protest from the popular Freedom park in the state capital, moving round strategic areas and displaying various placards with inscriptions bordering on insecurity and bad governance.

While speaking one of the protesters waheed saka noted that the protest is to mobilise citizens against lingering insecurity which has led to hike in price of good and service across the country.

Saka lamented that the federal government has failed in basic obligations of responsible governance,
taking clue from the killing of former Special adviser to president Goodluck Jonathan, Hamed Gulak by bandits, among others

He posited that the hope for a peaceful and prosperous nation is dampened, except the country is restructured

Also speaking another protester Ayo ologun wants federal government to act by constituting a new economic arrangements premised on socialist foundation in order to save the masses from the socioeconomic crises currently bedeviling them.

Ologun also called on president Muhammedu Buhari to find a lasting solution to all the challenges facing the country,as people are now living in panic
