Some suspected Fulani herdsmen have attacked the palace of a traditional ruler in Ekiti State and abduct the monarch.

The traditional ruler, Oba David Oyewumi is the Obadu of Ilemesho Ekiti, Oye Local Government Area of the state.

Details of his abduction is still sketchy as at the time of this report.

But our correspondent gathered that gunmen numbering about six allegedly invaded the palace late last night in a village very closed to Isan-Ekiti, the country home of the state Governor, Kàyode Fayemi and took the traditional ruler away to an unknown destination.

All efforts to speak with the Police Public relations officer in the state, Sunday Abutu were not successful, as he did not pick all calls placed on his mobile lines as at the time of this report.
