Bandits kill seven persons in Niger state

Bandits have killed seven persons, including five military officers and one civil defence officer in recent attacks in five communities in Shiroro local government area of Niger state.

Ten other people were said to have been kidnapped and seven motorcycles stolen while some military vehicles burnt during the attack.

Information has it that the attacks occurred on Wednesday and Thursday morning.

The communities include Allawa, Manta, Gurmana, Bassa and Kokki.

The bandits were said to have stormed the Allawa camp of the joint security task force at about 2 ‘o’ clock in the morning on Thursday and opened fire on the officials.
