Policeman detained for killing Okadaman over face mask

The Imo state police command has said that it has arrested the inspector who killed an Okada rider in Orlu town, for allegedly not wearing a face mask.

The police spokesperson in the state, Orlando Ikeokwu, confirmed the development to newsmen on Friday.

Ikeokwu said that the state commissioner of police, Isaac Akinmoyede, had ordered an investigation into the incident.

He explained that the CP has urged all the parties involved in the matter to remain calm, promising that justice would be served.
