Ekiti Petroleum dealer narrates ordeal in kidnappers’ den

A Petroleum dealer recently freed by his abductors in Ekiti State, Alhaji Suleiman Akinbami has identified youth engagement and empowerment as catalyst for peaceful and secure society.

Akinbami who regained his freedom from his abductors on Sunday afternoon made the disclosure in an exclusive interview with our correspondent in Ado Ekiti.

The Businessman who spent eight days in Kidnappers’ den narrated his ordeal adding that his abductors were not Fulani herdsmen as it’s being speculated.

He however declined comment on whether ransom was paid as it’s being insinuated in some quarters.

Meanwhile, the Special Adviser to Ekiti state Governor on internal, Brig. Ebenezer Ogundana has assured that the State government would not leave any stone unturned to ensure the State is free from kidnapping, banditry and other social vices.

Ogundana who was among the government delegates that visited the Ologede home of Akinbami said robust security outfits in the state ensured the safe release of the victim.

He added that the State Government is making frantic efforts to ensure that the injustices and insecurities within the State are not only reduced but corrected.
