Brexit: UK urged to submit ‘acceptable’ backstop remedies
The European Union has asked UK to provide fresh proposals within the next 48 hours to break the Brexit impasse.
European Union officials said they would work non-stop over the weekend if ideas will be received by Friday to break the deadlock over the Irish backstop.
The UK said reasonable proposals to satisfy members of parliament concerns about being tied to EU rulers had already been made.
