Ondo Woman Arrested Over Sister’s Death in ₦800 Quarrel

The Ondo State Police Command has arrested a woman over the death of her sister in Akure.

The command’s public relations officer, Olayinka Ayanlade, said the incident happened on 6 September , 2025, after a quarrel over 800 Naira.

The suspect, Iluyemi Bosede, allegedly held onto the clothes of her sister, Tewogboye Omowumi, who fell and became unconscious.

The 35-year-old victim was rushed to the hospital but was confirmed dead on arrival.

The police said the suspect has been arrested and the case is under investigation.

The Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal, urged residents to embrace dialogue and non-violent ways of resolving disputes.
