Girl, 9, dies from Ebola in Uganda
A nine year-old Congolese girl diagnosed with Ebola in Uganda has died.
She had been screened for Ebola at the border when coming into the country from DR Congo with her mother.
She was found to have had a fever and immediately put into isolation and later confirmed to have Ebola.
Health officials say they are currently working with their counterparts in Congo to make arrangements for the girl’s body to be taken home for burial.
In the meantime, the World Health organisation says 300 vaccines have been dipatched to bwera hospital near the congolese border.
