Amazon fires: Brazil to reject aid offer from G7 countries
The group of seven nations has pledged tens of millions of dollars to help fight raging wildfires in the Amazon and protect its rainforest.
The international pledges at a G7 summit in France included 20million dollars from the group, as well as a separate 12million dollars from Britain and 11milion dollars from Canada.
Ottawa has also offered to send firefighting planes to Brazil.
Meanwhile, the Brazilian government says it will reject an offer of aid from G7 countries to help tackle fires in the Amazon rainforest.
Report says, no reason was given for turning down the money.
Defence minister said the fires in the Amazon were not out of control.
