Maritime workers begin nationwide strike
Maritime workers union has announced that its workers will commence an indefinite strike over unpaid wages from today, Wednesday, July 3rd.
This is following a 14-day ultimatum to the federal government to compel the international oil companies to pay over one year outstanding wages.
The union has asked the federal ministry of transport to ensure that all outstanding wages are paid and all other related issues addressed within two weeks.
