UNICEF tasks families on implementation of Child Rights Act

The United Nations Children’s Fund, UNICEF, has tasked parents to prioritize the proper upbringing of their children.

UNICEF child protection specialist, Sharon Oladiji made the call today in Abuja, as the world marks the convention rights of the child.

Oladiji noted that most of problems in regards to child rights violation emanates from the family.

She emphasised that parents actions or inactions of the way the children were treated have some negative impact on them.

The child protection specialist described the United Nations convention on the rights of the child as a human right treated that sets out the civil, economic health and cultural rights of children.
