Northern govs meet in Kaduna over insecurity
Governors in the northern part of Nigeria have converged to discuss the way out of the spate of criminal activities in the region.
The meeting holding at Sir Kashim Ibrahim government house is aimed at discussing incessant kidnapping, armed robbery and banditry in the northern states.
Reports say governors of Sokoto state, Aminu Tambuwal, Aminu Masari, Katsina, Plateau, Simon Lalong and deputy governor of Benue, Benso Abonu have arrived the venue.
It also says, chairman of the forum and governor of Borno state Kashim Shettima is not in attendance.
The meeting is expected to deliberate on the prevailing and disturbing insecurity in the region, high rate of out of school children among other issues.
