12 persons killed in farmers/herders clash in Jalingo

Twelve persons have lost their lives in another clash between herdsmen and farmers at communities in Jalingo local government area of Taraba state.

Five of the perpetrators have been arrested by the police.

Reports say residents of the area have fled their homes after a reprisal attack in the community by suspected militia men.

The attack followed a confrontation by farmers who accused headers of intruding farms with cattles.

Police PPRO in the state ASP David Misal said the command will do everything within its power to protect lives and properties in the state.
