NGF holds induction for new returning governors

The Nigerian governors forum has held an induction programme for the newly elected and returning governors.

The programme which held at the banquet hall, president villa had all the newly-elected governors and outgoing governors in attendance.

President Muhammadu Buhari was represented at the event by his deputy, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

Chairman of the forum and the outgoing governor of Zamfara state, Abdulaziz Yari, told the newly elected governors to get ready to face new challenges.

Yari also charged state governors to increase their internally generated revenue, warning that relying on crude oil would not help the states to meet their financial challenges.

The induction is aimed at supplying incoming governors to develop key management skills that will enable them manage the processes of governance.
