Gunmen kill NSCDC officer, abduct others in Ekiti

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC in Ekiti State has confirmed the killing of one of its officers, Ayegbulu Segun.

The Corps also confirmed the abduction of unspecified other persons including members of his family.

NSCDC Public Relations Officer of the command, Tolu Afolabi who confirmed the incident in a telephone interview with our Correspondent in Ado-Ekiti said the late officer lost his life while on transit between Oke Ako -Ajowa road in Ikole local government enroute his hometown in Kogi State.

Afolabi further stressed that the body of the deceased has been deposited at the State Hospital’s morgue, while stressing that efforts are on to ensure the abducted persons regain their freedom unhurt.
