England schools to get two weeks’ notice for reopening
The British Education Secretary, Gavin Williamson has said schools will be given a two-week warning before reopening.
Gavin Williamson said he is not able to exactly say when pupils would return to class, but getting kids back into class is the government’s priority when lockdown is relaxed.
The education secretary also said the safety of the children and workforce was at the heart of the government’s strategy, adding that teachers are no more vulnerable than the national average.
Despite infections reducing, case numbers remain worryingly high across the UK, with health authorities recording 38,905 new cases.
