Newly-sworn-in cabinet members in Ekiti take oath of office
Governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi has administered oath of secrecy to the newly sworn-in commissioners in the state.
At the event, Fayemi said the importance of the oath was to protect the integrity of the government and its officials.
The governor further stressed that the state executive council meeting will still be hold virtually since COVID-19 has not finally fizzle out.
Earlier in a remark, the secretary to the state government, Biodun Oyebanji, told the new members of the state executive council that they were not supposed to represent any special interests except the interest of the administration they sworn to defend.
The SSG also urged them to adhere strictly with the provision of the lay down rules in order to steer the ship of the Fayemi’s administration to a safety harbour.
