Troops thwarts attempted attack in Borno community
The defence headquarters says military troops successfully thwarted an attempt by the Boko haram / ISWAP terrorists to scuttle the resettlement of Kukawa community in Borno on Tuesday.
In a statement today the coordinator, defence media operations, major general John Enenche, said the troops eliminated eight terrorists while several others escaped with gunshot wounds during the encounter.
Enenche said that three soldiers were killed in the attack while two others sustained various degrees of injuries, adding that the wounded were currently receiving treatment at the military medical station.
