UPDATED: Security operatives mount Edo Assembly complex for second day

Security operatives are keeping watch at the Edo state house of assembly complex in Benin City for the second day

Women and youths are said to be gathered at the Assembly complex in large numbers pledging their support for the state governor and praying for peace to reign in the state.

APC candidate in the Edo state governorship election, Osagie Ize-Iyamu is currently in a meeting with president Muhammadu Buhari.

Chairman of APC Caretaker Committee, Governor Mai Mala Buni, led Ize-Iyamu to the meeting.

Others on the entourage of the party candidate are Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) and Governor of Kebbi State Atiku Bagudu and his Kano counterpart, Abdulahi Ganduje
