Teachers demand military training for personal safety in Kenya

Kenya’s public prosecutor Noordin Haji says the state has recovered stolen assets worth 20 million dollars from corruption cases.

However, that is only one percent of an estimated 2 billion dollars’ worth of public money involved in high profile corruption cases.

In recent years, high profile politicians and public servants have been arrested and prosecuted for corruption, but none has been convicted yet.

Mr Haji gave the hint to newsmen while speaking about his hopes of securing a high-status conviction this year, a challenge put to them publicly by president Uhuru Kenyatta on Monday.
