Kogi Poll: Police vow to go tough on politicians with fake security officers
The Kogi state police command has vowed to be tough on politicians involved in the recruitment of fake security officers.
The warning came as residents are disturbed by the availability of fake security officers being sponsored by some politicians for Saturday’s governorship election.
Commissioner in charge, Hekeem Busari insisted that no unauthorized uniform-men will be involved in election duties.
Busari said no politician will move around with any security aide.
However, he told eligible voters not to exercise any form of fear during the poll.
