Abia APC criticizes Oshiomhole’s suspension

The Abia state chapter of All Progressives Congress has said the suspension of the national chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, did not follow due process.

APC chairman in the state, Donatus Nwankpa said that the suspension was of little or no consequence.

Nwankpa said the national chairman cannot be suspended without going through a competent disciplinary committee.

He explained that the ward must suspend him first, and then the local government ratifies the suspension before it is approved at the state level.

Nwankpa noted that he can only be expelled by the national body of the party.
