Ekiti first lady advocates leadership role for women

The wife of Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji, has stressed the important roles women play in the development of the family and the society.

Dr. Oyebanji, who stated this in a statement issued to commemorate the International Women’s Day 2023 noted that women have a role to play to address the declining moral values in the society, hence the need for them to be given leadership positions.

The Ekiti First lady urged Nigerian women in authority to rise, champion and protect the rights and privileges of women in the country.

Dr Oyebanji who said that women’s participation in politics in Ekiti has increased in recent years however called for more of their inclusion for a genuine development.
