Group backs Shettima as APC presidential running mate

The Tinubu mandate group has defended the choice of senator Kashim Shettima has the running mate of APC presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Chairman, Tinubu mandate group in Ondo and Ekiti states, Femi Bakare, said religion should be put aside for competence when Nigerians elect their next set of leaders in 2023.

He said those leading the debate against Tinubu’s candidacy should face the political and socio-economic issues and avoid religious sentiments.

Bakare spoke at the group’s meeting in Akure.

Bakare said they will massively begin engagement on social media for Bola Tinubu to woo voters to his side.

Members of the group spoke on the track records of the APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
