FRSC confirms 6 dead in Osun road accident

Six persons have lost their lives in an accident that occurred at Imesi-Ile in Obokun local government area of Osun state.

The federal road safety corps spokesperson Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, made this known in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital.

According to the statement, the incident occured yesterday at Imesi Ile highways when two vehicles had a head-on collision due to over-speeding.

The statement also notes that the accident involved 17 persons, while six persons lost their lives, the remaining 11 sustained varying degrees of injuries.

The release hints that the bodies of the victims have been deposited at the morgue of the Osun state University Teaching Hospital by the Nigeria Police before the arrival of FRSC team.

The command charges motorists to drive carefully and ensure their vehicles are in perfect condition before embarking on a journey.
