FG flags off dualization of Akure/Ado Ekiti road

The federal ministry of works and housing has flagged of the dualization of the Section 1&2 of Akure/ Ado Ekiti road.

Minister of works and housing Babatunde Raji Fashola at the flag off ceremony assure the states of federal government’s commitment to provision of adequate amenities for the citizens.

Fashola said the construction of roads is more than just a paper work as believed by the people.

Minister of state for works and housing Ademola Adegoroye, said the road construction is a most for residents of Ekiti and Ondo to ease transit.

Representatives of governors of Ondo and Ekiti states Commissioner for works and housing Raimi Aminu and Head of service Dele Agbede respectively appreciates the federal government for ending untold hardship residents have endured on the road.

Spokespersons of the construction companies, promised to deliver on their terms of contract agreement.

The ceremony had in attendance, dignitaries from both Ondo and Ekiti states including the Ewi of Ado, Oba Rufus Adejuigbe, Aladesanmi the third, Deji of Akure Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi, the Onisan of Isan and chairman council of Obas Ekiti state Oba Gabriel Ayodele Adejuwon amongst others.

Motorists and residents appealed to the government and contractors to round up the construction of the road within stipulated time.
