Osun Gubernatorial: Supreme Court To Deliver Judgment Today

As the supreme court sitting in Abuja delivers judgement on the winner of 2022 Osun gubernatorial election Today, there is heavy presence of security operatives at all the strategic areas in Osogbo the state capital.

Some of the areas manned by security personnels who are armed to tooth were olaiya junction, old garage, Lameco Okefia area, Ayetoro among others.

The men of the Nigeria police force were also doing show of force round the state capital as residents are busy doing their business of the day.

It would be recalled that the election petition tribunal has overturned the declaration of Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the state gubernatorial election.

While the appellate court, in a unanimous decision by a three-member panel of Justices, held that the appeal Adeleke lodged to challenge his sack by the Osun State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal was meritorious.

Oyetola after the appeal court judgement also approached the Supreme Court praying that he should be declared the winner of the 2022 Osun gubernatorial election.
