Fresh road accident injures over 50 travelers in Plateau

Barely two days after 16 persons died in a road accident in Mangu local government area of Plateau state, two persons have again been killed while 52 others sustained injuries in a fresh road accident in the Jos north LGA of the state.

The public enlightenment officer of the federal road safety corps in the state, Mr Peter Longsan, confirmed the latest accident in a statement on Monday.

He said that the latest victims died when a truck plying Jos-Bauchi road crashed on several vehicles on Sunday evening.

He said the injured victims had been taken to the hospital.
